Webhook
A webhook is a way for WhatsApp to notify a business system in real time when something happens, such as a customer sending a message or a message being delivered or read. It is how the WhatsApp Business Platform pushes events to your app.
Instead of your system repeatedly asking WhatsApp for updates, WhatsApp calls a URL you configure whenever an event occurs, so replies and status updates arrive instantly.
Providers handle webhooks for you and surface the events in the inbox and automation.
