Phone Number ID
A phone number ID is the unique identifier Meta assigns to each WhatsApp business number on the platform. It is used in API calls to send messages from a specific number and to receive events for it.
A single WhatsApp Business Account can hold several numbers, each with its own phone number ID, display name and quality rating.
You rarely see it as an end user; your provider uses it behind the scenes to route messages to the right number.
