Click-to-Chat Link
A click-to-chat link opens a WhatsApp chat with a business without the person saving the number first. It uses the format https://wa.me/<number> and can pre-fill a message with ?text=.
The number is written in full international format with no plus sign or spaces, for example wa.me/919876543210. Adding ?text= pre-fills a greeting the customer can send in one tap.
Businesses put click-to-chat links in bios, ads, emails, websites and QR codes to start conversations.
