Broadcast
A WhatsApp broadcast sends one message to many contacts individually, so each recipient gets it privately and replies come back as separate chats. On the WhatsApp Business Platform, broadcasts use approved templates sent to opted-in segments at scale.
A broadcast is not a group: recipients do not see each other. In the free WhatsApp Business app, broadcast lists are capped at 256 saved contacts; the Platform removes that limit for opted-in contacts.
Broadcasts are the main way businesses run marketing campaigns on WhatsApp.
