Two-Step Verification

Two-step verification on WhatsApp is an extra six-digit PIN that protects a number from being registered by someone else. On the WhatsApp Business Platform it is set for the business number to secure the account.

The PIN is required when registering the number again, which prevents takeover if someone gets a verification code.

It is a security measure separate from the login codes used to sign in.
